You Can’t Take It With You

What are you still carrying that you were never meant to keep?
A grudge you’ve been nurturing for years?
A belief that no longer fits the person you’ve become?
A closet full of things you don’t need— and a heart full of things you’ve never said?
We live like we’ll take it all with us—
The status. The stuff. The stories.
But the truth is sobering and simple:
None of it comes with us in the end.
Not the house.
Not the resentment.
Not even the version of ourselves we’ve tried so hard to protect.
The Weight That Broke Me Open
When I started writing The Paradox of a Mortal Mind, I was grieving—yes—but also awakening.
Loss has a way of stripping everything down to what’s real.
It forced me to ask: What matters, truly? What’s just weight?
I realized how much I’d been holding onto—
Out of fear. Out of pride. Out of habit.
But letting go? That’s where the healing started. That’s when the peace came.
We think holding on makes us strong.
But sometimes, true strength is found in surrender.
What are you carrying that’s been weighing down your spirit?
What’s one thing—physical or emotional—you can release?
This Week’s Action: Lighten the Load
Donate something.
Speak the forgiveness you’ve been withholding.
Let go of a belief that no longer serves who you're becoming.
Even if it’s small—let it go. Feel the lightness.
